Find us at the Tulsa Wedding Show & Oklahoma Wedding Show in less than 2 weeks!

Looking forward to another great weekend!

Another year has come and gone and it is time for our annual wedding shows. Nearly eighty percent of all engagements occur during the holiday season. In line with previous years, you will find us at both the Tulsa Wedding Show and the Oklahoma Wedding Show on January 9th, 2010. We will be showcasing our wide array of wedding disc jockey entertainment, ceremony and wedding lighting design services. We would love to see you there!

You will find us at the Tulsa Wedding Show located at the Renaissance Hotel at 71st Street and Hwy 169. On this very same day, you will also find our services featured at the Oklahoma Wedding Show located on the Tulsa Fairgrounds at 21st Street and Yale Ave in the Expo Square Central Park Hall.

Visit our booth at either show and we'll give you a complimentary video slide show. We will take up to one hundred of your favorite digital photos and create a memorable photo montage that you can enjoy both at your wedding and for years to come.

Congratulations to all newly engaged couples and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Edge Sight & Sound

AG 1 Source Company Holiday Party

AG 1 Source, a small tight-knit company, decided to toss things up a bit for their annual Christmas party. AG I Source wanted to stray from the normal, run of the mill dinner party and kick things up a notch by hiring Edge as DJ entertainment at the Old Cowtown Saloon. The group partied into the night and I think we accomplished their goal of a fun party!

See you next year!

Tulsa Young Professionals and the University of Tulsa Students "Mix"

You have undoubtedly heard about the Tulsa Young Professionals organization at one time or another. This group of up-and-coming Tulsa residents permeates virtually everything that makes Tulsa a great place to live. Fueling new members to this organization is the University of Tulsa. Now, for the first time ever, the two groups have united for a TU and TYPros mixer to enhance the relations hip that already exists between these two young professional powerhouses.

Edge Sight & Sound is a proud member organization to the Tulsa Young Professionals and even has TU Alumni within the company. Below are several more photos from what was an excellent event.

TU Annual Street Painting Competition - Homecoming 2009

For the last six years, we have provided DJ services for the annual street painting competition as part of the University of Tulsa Homecoming week. Each year student teams compete in a variety of events for points. The entire week culminates to a grand prize announcement at the Bonfire and pep rally held on the U.

Until next year, we'll be looking forward to it!

University of Tulsa Homecoming 2009!!

As a TU alum, owner Kenneth Knoll is a proud supporter of the University of Tulsa. Edge Sight & Sound was honored to serve as a sponsor of this year's annual homecoming week. Service donations included audio and video support for the Bonfire celebration held on the historic Tulsa "U" just west of the McFarlin Library.

We now offer more than the best DJ services around for weddings, corporate events and private parties; the next time you are planning a large event requiring professional audio, video and event lighting design, trust us to cover every aspect of the event!

Bartlesville Wedding Reception for Jake and Blayne Shaffer

From the ceremony sound, to projector rental and video slide show, to the reception, everything was seamless at the Woolaroc Wildlife Reserve. Also, what an awesome group of guests! They were dancing all night long.

It was a night of familiar faces - Jake and Blayne, our very own Lane Willhite as best man, and Pastor Wade Graber - you were all great to work with!

I hope you all had an amazing night and thank you all!

Birthday Party Celebration for Dani Andersen

Dani - I hope you and all your friends had a great time on your birthday.

Kris and Candis Rustman Wedding Reception

Working with corporate caterers at Wyldewood Cellars in Mulvane, Kris and Candis shared an intimate wedding with close friends and family. Kris and Candis, you two were easy to work with and I hope you both had a great time!

Thank you again and congratulations!

The Herridge Marriage held in Halstead, KS

Another event in the awesome little town of Halstead, KS. Nathan and Sara were married on November 7th, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Chapel. Polka was definitely a hit for the evening and the Grand March kicked the evening off, followed by a great first dance by Nathan and Sara. It is always a pleasure working with Treasured Moments Photography, you guys are awesome!

Nathan and Sara - I hope you two had a blast and are having an amazing honeymoon in Costa Rica!

Annual Halloween Bash for Hennessy's

This was our second year providing disc jockey services for the annual Hennessy Haunted House/Halloween Bash and from the looks of things it only gets better every year. The kids danced all night and definitely loved the haunted house. I think the costume of the evening award goes to the Octamom costume! Great food, great fun, great people...we love it.

We're looking forward to next year!

Wedding Reception for Sean and Maggie Hatfield

Sean and Maggie's wedding was in the classy banquet hall of the Olive Tree here in Wichita Kansas. The staff there are always great, and Sean and Maggie were even better. 350 guests + live arabic band = awesome time. I had the privilege of continuing the party where the band left off and the dance floor was packed all night! From traditional Arabic music to today's top hits, we played it all.

Maggie and Sean - you two were a blast and I'm thankful for the opportunity to serve you!

Tyson and Lauren's Kansas Wedding Reception Near Wichita

I am way behind on my blogs! A month or so ago, Tucked away in Halstead, KS, Tyson and Lauren were married at the quaint Riverside Park. This wedding was definitely a fun, laid back, nice change of pace. You can only love barbecue picnic weddings where everyone can enjoy great music, great family and friends, and great times. It was truly a pleasure to provide ceremony and reception services for your wedding.

- Tyson and Lauren, thank you both!

A Sweet 16 Birthday and Halloween Bash All-In-One!

On Halloween I got to skip out on buying a costume and just be the usual... a DJ. It was a sweet 16 birthday party and a Halloween bash all in one. I'd say at least 75 15-17 year olds made their way through the heavily decorated house to help Bridget celebrate. All of them were dressed appropriately... kind of. There were 6 ft tall guys wearing nothing but diapers and white boys who underwent some serious skin treatments to look like Lil Wayne. Of course Edge provided the best professional entertainment out there, but I have to say the costumes added to the excitement! The house was packed the entire evening with people dancing, playing Twister and jumping on the giant blow up toys. Thanks so much Keith for throwing your daughter the best sweet 16 ever!

Halloween Party for Carla - Another great year!

Carla always has us help make sure her party is a success!

Over the top is the best way to describe the Wichita Halloween party I Djed for Carla Mosteller this past Halloween Saturday. Reknowned for outrageous decorations and it's annual costume contest, the party was yet another success. Held at the Gene Francis Auction house, there was plenty of room for the attendees. Every year seems to go better than the last and i look forward to it every year. Carla, thanks again for having me back for my fourth year, i hope to see you guys again next Halloween!

Wichita Disc Jockey for Hyatt Regency Employee Party

Hyatt Regency Employee Party

This was probably the most fun I've ever seen a group have at an employee party. The afternoon was highlighted by Karaoke performances of Thriller, Proud Mary, She Works Hard, New Kids on the Block, and the grand finale from the general manager himself, All Shook Up performed in full costume. What an awesome venue to work with! I look forward to having the opportunity to DJ your annual Holiday Party! Special thanks to Shelley Stultz and the entire staff at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita, KS!

Tulsa Wedding Reception DJ for Mr. & Mrs. Brian Wilson

I had the honor of DJing Kimberly and Brian Wilson's wedding on October 10, 2009 at the Radisson Hotel. I met Kimberly at a wedding show back in January and she decided on the spot she wanted us at her wedding. In January, her and I had both recently got engaged and our weddings are only a month a part from each other so we had a lot of wedding planning stories to share with each other over the past several months! Her wedding could not have gone better so it was encouraging for me! Kimberly and Brian were truly some of the nicest people I have ever had the privilege of working with, and their families were just as pleasant. I admit, it was a little hard for me to hold it together during the toasts... they showed a lot of love and support!

Oh and their first dance was something else! They broke it down to a mix of everything from Etta James to Michael Jackson to Soulja Boy!

Thank you all so much... you were wonderful!

Wedding Reception Disc Jockey for Ashley & Devin in Catoosa, OK

So I thought I had DJ'ed at every venue in the Tulsa area... but I was wrong. Ashley and Devin Simpson celebrated their wedding at Skelly Lodge in Catoosa on October 3rd. It was great getting to go somewhere I had never been - the place was amazing. The ceremony and the reception were held outside on the lawn which was set up on a bluff overlooking acres of densely wooded rolling hills. The couple had so many friends that came out to celebrate, and almost everyone of them stuck around and kept the party going even after the music stopped... it was obvious that Ashley and Devin weren't the only ones excited about the wedding!

John & Dawn Waller's Wedding Reception

Every now and again I'm lucky enough to DJ a wedding for someone I've known for years. This Saturday was one of those fortunate opportunities. I DJed at the 4-H building in El Dorado for John and Dawn. The reception was in a league of its own! From authentic homemade food to K-state cake and tasteful decorations, it was a great atmosphere. The only thing better was the several hundred people there that halped make it a wild and unforgettable night.

John and Dawn, Thanks again for letting me share in makin your special day one of a kind! I hope you guys have a great life together and enjoy the honeymoon! Thanks again!

Washburn University Homecoming Dance DJ

Fun in the Sun!

Tropical islands aren't the only place to get away to. This past week I Dj'ed Washburn University's Homecoming in Topeka Kansas. Caley Onek was in charge of the whole event and she did a great job. From the formal decor' to the presentation of the Homecoming Finalists. The party was truly all class.

The students were ready to get down and danced to every song. It was a great event and a nice change of pace. I can only hope we are fortunate enough to entertain Washburn's finest in the near future! Caley thanks again for all your hard work and hope the rest of the Homecoming events went just as amazingly!

Josh and Jessica Demo's Wedding Reception DJ

Who said it's too cold for a good time?

While cold was definitely the right word for the temperature at Josh and Jessica Demo's wedding this past saturday, HOT was attitude and dancing inside the Reception tent. From great decor and amazing food to an even greater group of people, the night went perfect! The cold didn't hinder anyone from enjoying the great atmosphere and music. I was truly awestruck at how great a turnout there was and hope to see more receptions of that calibre. Josh and Jessica, Thank you again for letting myself and EDGE make your reception one for the recordbooks. Have a great honeymoon and best of luck to your future dreams together!

Sincerely,

Lane Willhite

Kansas Wedding Reception for Jessica Foster

A Night like no other!

That was definitely the implied theme of the Wedding for Zach and Jessica Boor that took place this past weekend at the Celebration Center in Lyons, Kansas. From the actual racecar in the room to the tires lining the dance floor, the wedding reception was on the fast track to success. The crowd was great and the food was excellent! I had a perfect location to DJ from and oversee the entire venue. The slideshow and lighting really brought it home with class. Zach and Jessica, Thank you very much for letting me be a part of your big day!

Best Wishes,

Lane Willhite

This past Saturday I had the honor of DJing for family in Edmond Oklahoma. My Cousin Amanda Willhite & her Fiance', Ryan Bennett had her wedding at the Boulevard Chapel & Reception Hall. Wedding Reception for Johnny and Mai Nguyen

Johnny and Mai had their family and friends at the Wichita Country Club for their wedding reception this past Saturday. We provided karaoke, they provided the singers! Like all Vietnamese weddings, it was quite the party and the karaoke was a huge hit! DJ SmoothT and DJ Twitchy were spinning all night, and everyone had an awesome time. A special note goes out to all the vendors involved...you guys were awesome to work with! Also, thanks again to Johnny and Mai for having Edge Sight and Sound karaoke as a fun addition to your wedding!

Wedding Reception for Mr. and Mrs. Mayes

This past weekend I had the privilege of DJing for Antwan and Jana Mayes at the El Dorado Civic Center. While i've done many receptions there, i'm impressed everytime by how well the room is decorated. With a pink and white theme ranging from the table decor and cake and right down to the groomsmens vests, it was truly a grand sight. The guests were amazing and knew how to get down.

Antwan and Jana, Thanks again for letting me be a part of your Big Day! Enjoy the cruise!

Wedding Reception at the Cedar Ridge Country Club for Jill & Jody Vivion

What a weekend!

With weddings from
Tulsa, OK to Wichita, KS...we had a busy, fun-filled wedding weekend. I personally DJ'd a magnificent wedding on Saturday night at the Cedar Ridge Country Club. This was the FIFTH wedding we have done for Jill's graduating sorority class this year alone! I of course always love being at the various Tulsa country clubs. The wedding reception was held in the Club House with open access to the back patio with wonderful views of the sunset out on the golf course. As the night kicked-off, guests meandered about during cocktail hour enjoying an open bar and appetizers. Upon the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Jody Vivion, our newly-wed couple enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife and dinner was served immediately following.

After dinner, guests gathered inside the main entry for
the Toasts. The cake cutting was followed by hours of dancing and drinking ending with our Bride and Groom driving off into the Tulsa night. I have included a few photos for your viewing pleasure!

Wedding Reception for Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Mushrush

Last Friday, August 7, I served as the DJ and MC for Britni and Ryan Mushrush at Five Oaks Lodge in Jenks. I also enhanced the ambiance a little by uplighting the stone fireplace with LED lights - the lights were set to purple to match their wedding colors. The reception was beautiful, and the guest had an absolute blast! They ended the night by having everyone light sparklers right outside the entrance and then form a tunnel for the couple to run through. Fortunately there were neiter brides burned nor spectators gored during the frenzy and it made for some phenomenal photos! Overall it was a very memorable night for everyone that attended.

Thanks again Mr. and Mrs. Mushrush!

Wedding Reception for Scott and Tiffany Schreiner - (Beech Activity Center)

I am just getting around to blogging about what was an overall great wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Scott and Tiffany Schreiner.

The reception was held last Saturday, August 8th, in the Olive Anne Gallery at the Beech Activity Center in Wichita. The Olive Anne Gallery was dressed to the hilt and looked incredible. It was a very personal and fun night with a definite MJ and Barbie flare to it!

Scott & Tiffany - you two were a great couple to work with and thanks for letting us be a part in your awesome reception! - Good luck!

An Excellent Tulsa Wedding Show Weekend

A great weekend!

In addition to several wonderful weddings and a birthday party, we attended a wedding show. It was a busy but exciting weekend. The Tulsa Wedding Show (www.TulsaWeddingShow.com) was held at the Renaissance Hotel. Hundreds of brides were in attendance along with dozens and dozens of vendors. It is always great to see the vendors we work with at a variety of events.

To all of the brides that found our service to be the PERFECT fit for their wedding, THANK YOU! We look forward to working with you to plan the details of your wedding reception. A DJ does more then play music. We are in control of the overall flow of the event. In fact, the success of your wedding reception and the experience your guests will have and remember is dependent entireley on the ability of your Disc Jockey. With just six DJ's, you can rest assured you will get to work with YOUR personal Disc Jockey from day one.

To all of the brides that are still deciding on a DJ, please do not hesitate to give us a call or send us an email any time of day! This is what we do and we love it so let us know if there is anything we can do to help make your wedding a fun and memorable one.

We look forward to working with you all. Let the wedding planning begin!
