Keith's Ice Cold Lemonade!

Guess what everyone? Its almost time for the kick off of Keith's Ice Cold Lemonade Stand! Keith's Ice Cold Lemonade is a fundraiser created by Keith Boyd, a young man with a big heart! Keith's goal is to raise $250,000 this summer for the Little Light House. The Little Light House's mission is to improve the quality of life of children with special needs, their families, and their communities. They accomplish this mission by providing tuition-free educational and therapeutic services to children with special needs ages birth to six. The LLH does not charge tuition and receives money only from private sources, such as foundations and grants.  The LLH does not receive funding from government sources or the United Way. Keith's lemonade stands are a huge help for The Little Light House. What started out as a small lemonade stand has grown into a huge, beautiful, event! Chick-fil-A's franchise owner, Arthur Greeno, introduced Keith’s idea to the Thrive15 team and they are helping Keith's goal turn into reality! Chik-fil-A will provide lemonade and tea and create special lemonade stands for each sponsor location. Lemonade will be free at the stands, but donations will be accepted. A special 24 oz. Keith’s Ice Cold Lemonade cup can be purchased for $100 and filled up all summer at any area Chick-fil-A for free. Keith will have 10 lemonade stands around Tulsa, OK every Wednesday from June 16 through August 20, 10:00am to 2:00pm, and we'll be there jamming out with Keith himself!  We are so honored and excited to help Keith accomplish his goal this summer!

Please help us get the word out by liking and sharing his pages!

The Patriot Cup 2014

Wow this weekend was awesome!  It was such an HONOR to be chosen by The Patriot Golf Club and Folds of Honor for the fourth year in a row to be hired as the DJ for
the welcome party and some other services. But, we were also honored to be able
to donate some services in conjunction as well this year. We love it out at the
Patriot Golf Course!
Saturday night we were hired to entertain… and we didn’t
disappoint! I was on the turntables spinning some great tunes and getting the
party dancing. We also had the tent decked out: dance floor lighting, uplighting,
Patriot logo on the tent top, dancing under the stars and a ton more.
Working with Caroline and Holly at the Patriot is always
such a great experience. This year we donated some vintage style string
lighting and it looked so good. The course is naturally beautiful and even
though it rained… The Patriot Cup was wonderful as always.
We were also able to work with the very talented Brittney Davis of Brittney Ashton Photography. They had her all over the place taking pictures that, without a doubt, will
showcase the gorgeous backdrop and preserve some great memories for all that
attended.
Ashley Farthing of Farthing Events was also a huge part of the Patriot Cup. She was
doing her creative-genius-thing at the Hard Rock Casino Tulsa for the Sunday Black Tie
Gala Dinner and the concert on Monday.
Folds of Honor gives scholarships to children of fallen or
disabled American heroes… I can’t imagine a better way to have spent my
Memorial Day weekend. THANK YOU so much to all who have served or are currently
serving for our country, and also for all the family members of those as well.

Patriot Cup

Memorial weekend is just around the corner, which also means the Patriot CupGolf Tournament is right around the corner as well. This is Edge Sight and Sound’s forth year participating in this awesome event! The welcome party is this Saturday night, May 24, at The Patriot Golf Club in Owasso, and Randy will be there DJing. They’ll be having a huge tent and we will be setting up uplights, dance floor lighting and monogram of the cup logo. We will also be doing sound for the opening and closing ceremonies on Monday, May 26, which includes sound on the golf course itself. It is always a pleasure to work with these guys. What an honor it is to be participating in this event once again! Don’t forget, all proceeds from The Patriot Cup will go to Folds of HonorFoundation!

Hooby and Jessica

"Love can unite two worlds" was the theme of this luxurious wedding. Hooby and Jessica come from completely different backgrounds, but they are living proof that love is unstoppable no matter the boundaries. It was an absolute pleasure being a part of their wedding! Their ceremony and reception took place at the Philbrook Museum of Arts in Tulsa Oklahoma. They had a two floor wedding with dinner upstairs and dance floor, with custom all white DJ setup, down stairs. We used tons of all white wireless uplighting to highlight the already beautiful venue. We wanted to say a big thank you to Farthing Events for making this two floor event come to life. Ashley Farthing's vision and attention to detail is incredible. There was even a beautiful monogram which was written in 3 different languages. It is always an honor to work with Ashley Farthing, she did an amazing job! Thanks to Redeemed Productions, you guys rock! another beautiful wedding video! Also, it was so nice to work with Bradford Martens Photography, the pictures were, wow, stunning!

Monograms

Monograms are an awesome way to add to your decor. A monogram is a template placed in front of a light to project an image. In other words?? YOUR name in LIGHTS!! Our brides love monograms because they are completely customizable! This means brides are able to match napkin initials or even their invitation font to their monogram. We can also make our monograms whatever color needed and not to mention wherever you want! Walls, floor, tents, you name it! We often use monograms at weddings but, they are great for other events too! Here are a couple other ways to use monograms: at a class reunion display the year of graduation, at an anniversary party display the date you got married, at a company party display the company logo, etc. Be creative, guests love taking pictures with monograms so make it memorable!

Brian & Haleigh Mattingly

I can't help but get the chills every time I watch the video of Brian and Haleigh's wedding! It has almost been a whole year since these two have been married, it's crazy! Brian and Haleigh got married July 6, 2013 and had their wedding reception at the Glenpool Conference Center. Brian and Haleigh went with our Elite Package and had lots of fun add ons. The first detail I noticed about their wedding was their wedding colors. So not traditional and so not boring! I would have never thought of putting Tiffany Blue and red together, but it was absolutely beautiful. They incorporated their unique wedding colors with their decor and uplighting. They also had a monogram displaying their names, which added to the decor. Brian and Haleigh also chose to use two of our TVs and use them to display a picture slide show. Everything about their wedding was awesome, but my personal favorite was watching Haleigh dance with her father. She utilized our Dancing on a Cloud to make the Father Daughter dance extra special.

A special thanks to Redeemed Productions for sending us this awesome video. You guys captured Brian and Haleigh's big day perfectly!  Also, thanks to Brittney Ashton Photography for being an amazing photographer, the pictures were gorgeous! And I can't forget the team of Erica Scott Weddings for making it all come together so flawlessly.

Color Runs

Now that the weather is so beautiful, don't you feel like just being outside all the time? A great way to have lots of fun and getting your body moving are runs! Edge Sight and Sound just participated in the Color Me Rad run and it was a blast! Color Me Rad is a 5K run that uses color bombs, color cannons, color mortars, and multi-toned courses to get people going! The runners start off with white shirts and through out the race get blasted with blue, green, pink, purple, and yellow Color Bombs. Each section of the run adds a new explosion of color on you. We had a blast working with these guys! Make sure to visit their website for more info!

Venues

Have you picked your venue yet? Here are some awesome venues we love to work at!

1.Shady Lane Farm

Shady Lane Farm is a perfect venue for that outdoor bride! Its 35 acre location is full of natural beauty! Outdoor weddings look beautiful with our Vintage String Lights! They also have a beautiful barn  that can accommodate an indoor wedding. Pictures are absolutely gorgeous at this location!

2. Glenpool Conference Center

Located in Glenpool, the new Glenpool Conference Center is a modern, flexible event venue designed to provide an exciting but efficient and functional backdrop to your event. Its interior makes it very easy to transform the inside from Modern Chic to Vintage, its an open canvas! Also, this modern venue accommodates parties of up to to 800 people.  The grand foyer looks amazing with uplighting and the outdoor amphitheater makes for a beautiful wedding ceremony.

3. Mayo Hotel

The Mayo Hotel is absolutely grand! One of the most iconic places to see and be seen is the Grand Hall of The Mayo Hotel and it can be exclusively reserved for your “I Do” moment.Your first dance as Mr. and Mrs. under the original crystal chandeliers in Tulsa’s most famous ballroom is picture perfect. Although The Mayo Hotel is extremely elegant, it can be easily transformed into a high end party that will have your guests talking about for years to come.

4. Bridle Creek Horse Ranch & Resort

If you are looking for a unique country wedding venue in the Tulsa area, Bridle Creek provides a stunning and unique location! They have a beautiful 7,500 square foot Main Lodge that brings rustic elegance to your wedding. From their custom wagon wheel chandeliers, to their 12 Outlaw Cabins, Bridle Creek is perfect location for that Oklahoma country girl! Its location in beautiful Osage Hills, just minutes from downtown Tulsa, makes it easily assessable. Their 128 acres of tranquil countryside makes it for gorgeous wedding pictures.

5.The Campbell Hotel

The Campbell Hotel is located in the historic Route 66. What makes The Campbell Hotel unique is their two completely different venues, The Campbell Event Center and The Renaissance Square! The Event Center has more of a luxurious feeling with its crystal chandeliers, barreled ceilings and built-in dance floor. The Renaissance Square has a more rustic feeling with its high sealing, iron works and open space. We love this location because you can book both venues at the same time! You can have the ceremony in one space and  the reception in the other.

This is a small amount of beautiful venues located in the Tulsa Metro area. Remember, when looking for the right venue for you, think about what kind of vibe and atmosphere you are wanting. You also want to think about your budget, do you want to do a ceremony on site, distance from where you live, etc. We love to do walk-throughs with our clients to help with layout and working out your vision for your facility. Enjoy seeing all the great venues in town!

Choreographed dancing and Weddings

Being a maid of honor and best man is such an amazing recognition of love and not to mention it is a huge responsibility! They are responsible for various aspects of the awesome road leading up to the big day, but unfortunately, the rest of the wedding party isn't involved as much. In my opinion, one of the coolest ways to get the rest of your bridesmaids and groomsmen involved in your big day is to do a choreographed dance. Choreographed dances are a huge trend right now! Have your Edge Sight and Sound DJ come up with a mix of popular songs such as Thriller, Gangnam Style, The Dougie or even The YMCA for your wedding party to dance to. The dance doesn't have to be perfect, the goal is to have fun and get your guest up and dancing with them!
